Inhibiting Malaria - Global Health Institute, EPFL (2010)
Malaria parasites spread in the hosts blood by means of a fascinating and complex machinery of division. A way to stop the spread of the malaria parasites is hypothesised at a molecular level, in this video. based on the research of Prof. Christian Doerig and his team, Joint Research Unit INSERM-EPFL, Global Health Institute (GHI), EPFL (now at the Department of Microbiology of Monash University, Australia).
Technology: Our in-house ray tracing and simulation engine BioInspire (written from scratch in C/C++) was used to create models, animations, renderings and special effects. Music was specially composed for the movie.
